Leona Liebner – Optometrist

Leona graduated in 2001 and is a member of the College of Optometrists. She has until recently been working at the hospital eye service and now spends one day a week supervising 3rd Year Optometry students at Cardiff University.

Her responsibilities in the practice include all aspects of eyecare and patient care. She is accredited on the Welsh EyeCare Initiative and also accredited to co-manage refractive surgery patients. Leona has a special interest in low vision: therefore if you are booked in for a low vision assessment she will carry out the assessment for you.

Leona enjoys travelling and is a member of Vision Aid Overseas. She has taken part in two voluntary projects in Africa examining eyes and providing spectacles.
